[2023/ 11/ 18] The graph below shows the percentage of people using Internet, cellphones, telephones and posts to communicate with their friends and families in Australia in 2011.

静态的线图相信各位考生拿到题之后会有点没有头绪，其实我们可以转化成平时更熟悉的静态表或静态柱图来分析：

The line chart compares four age groups in Australia in terms of their ways of communication with friends and family members for the year 2011.

【概述段】

Overall, advanced means of communication were more attractive to younger groups of people,whilepeople older than 36 preferred traditional ways.

思路要点：

- <18和18-36的人→用Internet和mobile phone更多

- 36-60和60+的人→用telephone和post更多

【Body 1】

It is clear thatfor both internet and mobile phones, the youngest and people aged from 18 to 35 were the dominant users.This is particularly true forthe internet—half of the surveyed under-18s and 40% of the 18-to-35-year-olds chose to use it for communication.However, these two types of technology did not obtain much popularity among the older groups.Internet was the least popular for the middle-aged and elders, with the figures of roughly 15% and 8%.When it comes tothe use of mobile phones,a similar pattern could be found amongthese two age groups.

- internet：以上2个年龄段分别占比50%和40%

- 这两种通讯方式在年龄较大的群体中 使用率较低

【Body 2】

We can also see thattelephones and posts were mainly used by the middle-aged people(36-60) and the oldest, with the figures of 35% and 42% respectively.Althoughthe figure for telephone users who were between 18 and 35 ranked the second place(30%), the elders became the second largest group of clients for posts.By contrast, posts were only favored by 5% of people under 18, and this figure was one-third of the figure for telephone.

- 36-60在这两种方式中占比都最大

- telephone：18-35排第二，但是post中60+排第二

- post：<18只占5%，是同年龄段使用telephone的1/3
