美国纽约州立石溪大学(Stony Brook University)杨伟实验室诚招博士后和全奖博士生(肿瘤生物学或蛋白质组学)
[Position Summary]
The Dr. Wei Yang laboratory at Stony Brook University is seeking 4 self-motivated postdoctoral scientists and PhD students to work on cancer metastasis and immunotherapy, two frontiers in cancer research. Currently, our research focuses on decoding the roles and mechanisms of RIPK2 (a protein kinase) and DHHC11 (a palmitoylating enzyme) in prostate cancer metastasis and immune evasion, using multidisciplinary approaches including mass spec-based proteomics. Our goal is to translate our exciting scientific discoveries into the clinic to prevent cancer metastasis and shrink existing metastatic tumors, significantly improving the survival rates and quality of life for cancer patients. For more information about our research, please visit our website: https://you.stonybrook.edu/yanglab2023/ .
When hired, the postdocs and PhD students will work closely with Dr. Yang and other team members to conduct high-caliber cancer research in the MART (Medical and Research Translation), a $194M state-of-of-the-art building completed in 2018. The postdocs and PhD students are expected to be active contributors to the research team. In addition to primary research responsibilities, the postdocs will assist in training laboratory staff as well as graduate and undergraduate students in research techniques. Our lab is well funded. The postdocs and PhD students will have ample opportunities to conduct cutting-edge cancer research with plenty of interactions with top-notch research groups and clinicians at Stony Brook Medicine.
Competitive salaries and benefits will be provided. All positions are full-time and funded by grants.
