Carruades de Lafite is the second wine label of Château Lafite Rothschild, one of the most famous and prestigious wineries in the world located in Pauillac, in the Bordeaux wine region of France. It was first introduced in 1978 and is produced from younger vines and grapes that do not meet the strict standards for the first wine. Carruades de Lafite is considered an excellent wine in its own right, with a similar style to its older sibling but with a shorter aging potential. It is generally more approachable and affordable than Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
