Château Pape Clément is a grand cru classé winery located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate has a long and storied history, dating back to the 13th century when it was purchased by Pope Clement V. The château has changed hands many times over the centuries and was eventually acquired by Bernard Magrez in 1983.
Today, Château Pape Clément produces both red and white wines, with the majority of the production being red. The red wine is typically a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, while the white wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
The wines produced by Château Pape Clément are known for their power and concentration, as well as their aging potential. The estate produces about 13,000 cases of red wine each year and around 2,000 cases of white wine.
